Company Information

INSEAD is an international business graduate school offering programs through campuses in Europe, France, and Asia, Singapore and centers in the Middle East (Israel and Abu Dhabi). Founded in 1957, INSEAD offers a comprehensive range of programs to more than 1,000 degree participants – MBA, Executive MBA and PhD – and more than 9,500 executives from the world's leading companies. Participants are drawn from 100 countries and represent all continents.

Focus on Women's Empowerment

Diversity is at the heart of INSEAD and a key competitive advantage. INSEAD is acting to increase women's representation in business and business education – and to harness its potential. Under their Gender Diversity Initiative, INSEAD is building on their many gender diversity activities across all programs and departments. Through innovative practices, research, teaching, events and outreach, INSEAD seeks not only to make a difference to INSEAD but also to have an impact on business and society itself.

The school recently started a new mentorship scheme that pairs female MBA participants with alumnae. It supports marketing events, such as 'master classes' for women and offers scholarships specifically for women. For top female executives, INSEAD offers a Women Leading Change in Global Business executive workshop, which addresses leadership issues that affect all executives and creates a network of senior women leaders. For female students, the INSEAD Women in Business club aims to create more opportunities to become future leaders and role models.

INSEAD's research on gender issues focuses on six main areas: women and leadership; diversity and organizational performance; career and talent management; women and entrepreneurship; women and economic development. The school partners with a variety of organizations supporting women in business, and participates in the world's leading women's networks such as the World Economic Forum's Gender Parity Group or Catalyst.
